Toilet Training Your Cat

What is your idea on toilet training your cat?

Cat toilet trainers are a popular item today. The two biggest sellers are the Kitty Whiz and the CittKitty. Both are similar in design and use. But is the benefit totoilet training you cat one-sided. Does it benefit the cat at all to use the toilet as their human counterparts do?

I've heard opinions on both sides as to whether this is a good thing for kitty or not. Some say it robs the cat from using it's natural instinct to bury their waste by scratching and digging. Others say it keeps the cat cleaner and less likely to pick up diseases from a litter pan.

Any sucess (or horror) stories about toilet training your cat?

Favorite Pets

This is Little Bit. She is a Pointer/Lab mix. So does this make her a Plab, or a Poilab? I'm not sure myself. She actually is the daughter of my favorite pet who left us two years ago, shortly after having a litter of five including Lil' Bit. She lives with my Daughter and Son-in-Law.

It's amazing to see the mannerisms of her mother in Lil' Bit. When she wants attention, she shivers as if she's freezing to death. She's quite good at it too! If you don't know her, you just want to wrap her up in a big ol' blanket and a hug, which is just what she is aiming for. Her mom Susie was a master of this ploy for attention too.

Lil' Bit has developed a unique talent her mom never mastered, nor even tried, she can climb trees. She loves to chase birds and salamanders. Both are pretty good at getting away from dogs by getting in a tree. So Lil' Bit has learned how to jump for the ground to get a good start and climb as high as 10-12 feet by wrapping her legs around the tree. It's a pretty cool thing to see a dog climbing a tree. Not as cool though when she jumps out and lands on you. My daughter got a nasty bruise on her face and a headache that lasted a couple days. I always told her there was pain in raising kids.

So who is your favorite pet and what little things does she/he do to steal your heart?
